UPCRC Illinois Summer School for Multicore Programming
Programmers with little or no exposure to parallelism have an opportunity to learn about multicore programming at the UPCRC Illinois Summer School to be held June 22-26, 2009 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. On-site and online options are available. Coursework will provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of multicore programming, offer hands-on experience with the use of multicore languages and libraries, and introduce emerging research topics. Upon completion, participants will be familiar with available tools, languages, and libraries that can be used to develop parallel programs, the pros and cons of those utilities, and will be able to choose the programming environment that best matches their application needs. Applications will be accepted online beginning April 15. The final day to apply is May 15. To learn more, visit http://www.upcrc.illinois.edu/summer/2009/.
