The Software for Systems on Silicon (SSS) group at the Institute for Integrated Signal Processing Systems (ISS) of RWTH Aachen University has an opening starting on July 1, 2008 for a Research Assistant/Ph.D. Candidate.

The SSS division performs research and development on electronic design automation tools for embedded systems, e.g. future telecommunication and multimedia systems. Major research areas include multi-processor system-on-chip (MPSoC) architectures, compilers for embedded processors, and architecture optimization for application specific configurable processors (ASIPs). These activities are performed in close cooperation with the teams of the Institute for Integrated Signal Processing Systems (ISS) as well as numerous international research partners from academia and industry.
