Postdoctoral Fellowship in Microarchitecture

This is an opportunity to work on a funded research project
at Edinburgh University, in which we are investigating new
ways to synthesise and customize architectures using machine
learning and design-space exploration.

The post is available immediately, and is tenable for one year
initially (may be extended).

We are looking for a recent PhD graduate with research experience
in microarchitecture, particularly in design-space exploration.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to carry out
original research leading towards new methods of guiding design tools, predicting the outcomes of time-consuming processes such
as physical synthesis and chip layout, and investigating the
interactions between architecture, microarchitecture and physical synthesis in nano-scale devices.

In the project there is considerable scope for interaction with
colleagues working in related areas such as compilers, embedded
applications, and silicon implementation.
