Newsletter Contribution Guidelines
General Information
You can always submit your article a the Newsletter contribution web page (http://www.hipeac.net/hipeacinfo). The writing style is different from scientific papers. Please check previous newsletter issues for some examples. The newsletter is available online at http://www.hipeac.net/newsletter. Special restrictions apply to contributions on collaborations grants, trip reports, and PhD news columns.
Article size
The typical size of an article varies from 100 to 600 words depending on contents. The recommended size is around 400 words. In some situations we can dedicate more or less space depending on the quality and importance of a contribution.
-
Figures
Photos and figures are very much appreciated since they make the newsletter more attractive for readers. However, there are special requirements to the quality of pictures: they must have sufficiently high resolution (around 300 dpi); preferable file formats are .jpg, .png, or .gif.
-
Special Comments
If possible, do not include citations and references to your papers in the text as the newsletter has a magazine rather than a scientific style. You can put web links to sites with more information if required.
Collaboration grants and trip reports
The article size is up to 500 words. Personal photos of the author and figures are desirable.
